No Trade Imminent for Damian Lillard

This past week in the world of basketball, Damian Lillard has made his way to the headlines with more offers coming into the TrailBlazers' front office. With Lillard requesting for a trade on July 1st of this year, and naming the Miami Heat as his preferred destination, this off-season has been filled with potential deals and trade rumors surrounding the 7-time All-Star point guard.

Many teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Miami Heat have expressed interest in Portland's star point guard and have produced multiple potential trade packages for him. With training camps starting around the league on October 1st, the Blazers are hoping to get a deal done soon. Among these proposed trades, the package put together by the Heat which would include between 3 to 4 first-round picks and young star, Tyler Herro, is among the best of them. Unfortunately for Dame, according to reports around the association, the Trailblazers front office is seemingly willing to work with any team besides Miami. Although Lillard has a reputation of being loyal to his own detriment when it comes to his decision to play for Portland, who have yet to be able to provide him with any help during his  11-year tenure there, at this point, the organization still feels as if they are owed something from him, only looking to get something of equal value in return for the All-Star caliber player in which they now have to move, rather than pandering to meet the needs of his request to be sent to Miami. With this recent decision to look to other teams besides Miami for equal compensation in a potential Damian Lillard trade scenario, many people are left wondering what will happen. What do you think? Do you think it is fair for Portland to disrespect Dame's wishes to be sent to Miami?

Harden is a "Full Participant" in Sixers Training Camp

This week in the NBA, teams around the league started training camp on September 26th ahead of the 2023-24 season. As the recent drama between James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers organization has come to a head, James Harden was reluctant about joining the team for camp alongside Daryl Morey and new teammate, Kelly Oubre Junior, ultimately joining the camp late on October 4th as a full participant.      This drama between Harden and the 76ers organization started when Harden exercised his player option on June 29th and requested a trade. Harden wanted out of Philadelphia and made it very clear as to why.       "Daryl Morey is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he's a part of," Harden said during an Adidas media event in China. "Let me say that again: Daryl Morey is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he's a part of."     Following this statement, Harden was ...

Giannis and Dame Rise to Expectations

This week in the world of basketball was the NBA’s opening week of games, which featured many long-awaited and star-studded matchups. For the first time in the regular season we were able to see some of the league’s new faces in new places take action. This included the new unstoppable duo in Milwaukee of Dame and Giannis.     With Damian Lillard finally getting shipped out from the Portland Trailblazers after 11 years and going to Milwaukee to join alongside the two-time MVP Giannis, many people had questions about how the two would exactly fit playing alongside each other. Although their styles of play compliment each other with Dame’s long-range shooting, and Giannis’ physical dominance in the paint, the two have always been the number one options on their respective teams during their careers, leading to many people wondering how exactly the dynamic between them would work and who would get the last shot between them.       These wor...
